Job description

As part of the team of SEO project managers, you will report to the department manager – an SEO expert – and the agency’s technical director. You will work on behalf of a dozen key account clients, managing their natural indexing and more generally helping to boost their web visibility.

SEO responsibilities

  • Determining the optimum SEO strategy for your clients
  • Performing technical audits/testing to identify indexing obstacles: crawl optimisation, wireframe analysis, server logs, semantic analysis, link building, site structure & performance, local strategy, etc.
  • Managing, designing and monitoring SEO optimisation measures, whether based on technical aspects, content or popularity
  • Using tools to monitor SEO performance
  • Carrying out reports and analysis, creating personalised KPIs and dashboards
  • Regularly monitoring SEO and technological developments

Client relations

  • Understanding and adapting to key accounts’ resources and contacts
  • Directly or indirectly interacting with your clients’ technical teams to ensure that they understand your recommendations
  • Passing on best practices and evangelising clients’ teams
  • Detecting opportunities & communicating with in-house teams

SEO tools

  • Crawler (Screaming Frog, Botify, Oncrawl)
  • Server logs (Spiderlog, SF log, Oncrawl log, kelo.gs)
  • Link building (Ahrefs, Majestic, OSE, SC, SEObserver)
  • Benchmarking & keywords (Semrush, Yooda, SearchMetrics, KwTool, SEObserver)
  • Tracking (Myposeo, Ranks, Serposcope)
  • Google Tools (Analytics, Search Console, PageSpeed, structured data, Google My Business)
  • Passive (Archive.org, SEObserver)

Take part in Research & Development

As well as the forty site clinics we manage, you will be given your own dedicated test site, like of all our consultants, within our SEO lab. On your test site, you will perform tests to confirm or deny your hypotheses on how Google works and the effectiveness of certain practices.

The aim of R&D is to increase your personal skills (you work on your site, imagine issues and ways to resolve them) AND your collective skills, as your results are shared with the whole team and on our blog, where they are passed on to the SEO community.

You will also help to design and improve proprietary SEO tools (such as Occurus, an optimisation tool developed by Primelis).

R&D responsibilities
  • Building a personal site within the Primelis lab and carrying out tests
  • Testing and improving proprietary tools
  • Making suggestions on new tools/tests to carry out within the agency

Join an expert team and share its skills

Our SEO project managers come from a variety of educational backgrounds and have a wide range of profiles. Each has their own experiences and their preferred fields, resulting in a comprehensive whole where everyone is able to help each other.

At Primelis, we focus on building skills, which is why we believe that it is essential for consultants to communicate about and discuss the issues they encounter with clients’ cases. For the same reason, we encourage direct communication with the SEO manager and the technical director to make sure that no questions are left unanswered.

We hold an SEO meeting every week to discuss the latest news from the sector, compare viewpoints and respond to customer case studies, as well as to learn about specific topics (client processes, how to use a particular tool, establishing KPIs, data extraction, etc.).

Regular team-building activities and in-house SEO competitions are also held.

As part of the SEO department, you will take part in all of these events.

Required profile

Backlink analysis tools, crawlers and Google tools hold no secrets for you. You have superb analytical skills and have mastered Excel. Knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript is also a plus for carrying out your responsibilities.

You are passionate about the web, are always able to make suggestions, and are highly independent. You are enthusiastic and positive and you enjoy finding solutions. You are known for your excellent rapport with others and your ability to make sure that people follow best practice in a diplomatic, instructive and friendly way.
